PLATEER Announces 2024 Performance Results…Expecting a Rebound Through AI Innovation Despite Business Slump

2025-03-19

▶ Revenue downturn due to delays and reductions in new investments for platform development and upgrades by major e-commerce companies.
▶ Continued growth in new business… AI-CX solution segment recorded a 23% year-over-year revenue increase.
▶ Digital transformation business grew 23% year-over-year, reaching KRW 7.8 billion—achieving an all-time high performance.
▶ AI commerce business successfully secured consecutive orders from Q1—laying the foundation for a performance rebound.

PLATEER announced its 2024 annual performance, recording sales of 29.8 billion KRW, an operating loss of 6.97 billion KRW, and a net loss of 5.64 billion KRW. This represents a 9% decrease in sales compared to the previous year, primarily due to delays and reductions in new investments related to platform construction and upgrades by major e-commerce companies.

Despite the downturn in the existing business due to the deteriorating market, growth in new business sectors continued. The AI-CX solution segment, which PLATEER is nurturing as a new growth driver, achieved sales of 2.66 billion KRW, marking a 23% year-over-year growth. Additionally, the digital transformation segment recorded sales of 7.8 billion KRW, a 23% increase from the previous year, reaching an all-time high performance.

In the core AI commerce business, new orders have been continuously secured across various sectors, expanding the portfolio of major clients. In the first quarter of this year, new orders were obtained from key clients such as SK Rent-a-Car and KT Alpha, laying the foundation for a performance rebound. Contracts with premium fashion brands are also underway. Through 'X2BEE AI', an on-premise LLM-based solution launched last year, PLATEER aims to protect sensitive corporate information while applying state-of-the-art generative AI technology across e-commerce processes, supporting e-commerce operators and D2C clients in enhancing their competitiveness.

In the AI-CX solution business, 'Gen AI Search', a generative AI-based solution launched in November 2024, was promptly applied as a Proof of Concept (POC) to the premium fashion brand BABA the dotcom. Based on this, there are plans to expand the business to the furniture, automotive, and cosmetics industries in the first half of 2025. Notably, 'Gen AI Search' is expected to evolve into 'Gen AI Chatbot', being adopted by more digital platforms. Furthermore, PLATEER entered the Japanese market in February this year, seeking business expansion centered on 'Gen AI Search' and 'Gen AI Chatbot'. Considering the high demand for AI technology in the Japanese market, PLATEER plans to quickly secure references and actively expand its business.

As corporate investments in digital transformation infrastructure continue to show a robust trend, PLATEER plans to sustain growth in the digital transformation business. In the second quarter of 2025, the company intends to launch a self-developed ITSM/ESM solution, aiming to establish itself as the leading company in the domestic ESM market. Additionally, with the increasing demand for DevOps and AI Ops environment construction among enterprises, continuous growth is anticipated.

Lee Sang-hoon, CEO of PLATEER, stated, "Despite the contraction in the B2B enterprise IT investment market over the past two years, we have focused on investing in AI technology to enhance the competitiveness of our corporate clients." He added, "The year 2025 will be the inaugural year where the fruits of these investments are fully reflected in our performance." He emphasized, "By applying cutting-edge AI technology to actual business, we aim to strengthen the competitiveness of our corporate clients, proactively respond to market changes, and achieve sustainable growth through the expansion of AI-based solution supply and entry into global markets."
