System integration and expansion of new SW licensing business
▶ PLATEER, which has established a network of mid-sized and small-sized companies away from large companies
PLATEER enjoyed a booming performance due to increased demand for COVID-19. However, sales growth was limited as it mainly focused on system integration (SI) projects, which are both a short-term increase in demand and highly labor-intensive. Due to a shortage of manpower, it has become impossible to win additional business orders.
Instead of SI, PLATEER focused on a new business that sells its own software licenses. The stumbling block is that product development takes time and sales will not be generated until sales are on track, but it had ample investment capacity thanks to the funds it secured through the listing. It is paying off starting this year and is establishing itself as a new growth engine for PLATEER.

It was after the KOSDAQ listing that PLATEER began to focus on new businesses. Since it invested 6.6 billion won for research and development the year after the listing, it has continued to invest 10% of its sales. Of the seven patents held by PLATEER, five have been registered since 2022. It is part of an effort to break away from SI companies' corporate identity.
The most visible change is the workforce. Immediately after PLATEER's listing in 2021, the number of employees was 197. Since then, the number of employees has increased significantly to 285 as of August as the number of employees has steadily increased. In addition, the number of members in charge of product development and support was less than 10% of the total, but it has expanded to more than 30% now.
